But for several weeks, this is the Jon I've come home to:
Now, I always swore that I wouldn't let my husband grow facial hair, because honestly the thought of kissing that .... But, I'm not going to get into how my personal biases changed and/or stayed the same throughout this experiment, because I'm really curious to get others' opinions about this experiment (don't worry, I'm not going to ask how you'd feel about kissing that face!) Really, the whole point of the "experiment" is that Jon has always wondered if having facial hair would make him look older. He wonders that because someday in the hopefully not too far distant future he will be applying for professorships, and he has this idea that looking older will make him a more likely candidate for a job. So, the question is this (okay, there's actually more than one):
1. Does Jon look older with facial hair?
2. Do you think he's more likely to get hired as a professor with or without the facial hair?
I realize this is a very scientific experiment, not to mention an extremely relevant issue for everyone :) ... but, I'd love to see the polling data all the same, so chime in with your opinion (you can leave a comment, or just cast your vote on the sidebar).
p.s. I think that Jon's influence is wearing off on James, because this is how he did himself up at our recent day at the beach...

I'll leave a comment. It's hard to tell at this point because he's reached the stage that looks like he's been on a really long campout. A fuller beard may fit his profession, but that may need to come after he secures a job first.
Hey Cami!! Your little guy has your eyes! As for Jon, I think the second pic of him with a beard looks very teacher-ish. He does look a bit older, but I don't think that will matter.
James is so cute! He is so chubby. That is a good thing. Jamison is super little! He doesn't even have rolls on his arms or legs! Its so weird as my other two were quite stout! Oh well, he may be my short one. Hope all is well! Un abrazo fuerte!
Will thinks Jon looks a little older but it's hard to tell in the pictures... maybe you should post more with Jon at every possible angle.
We also think it might depend with whom you're interviewing. But ultimately, it will be your brilliance that lands you the job. Will had a professor who interviewed at USU with hippy hair down to his buttocks. He was sure he wouldn't get the job in such a conservative state/school but he got it. Maybe you're next experiment should involve some hippy hair!
Yes, experiment must continue as we are just barely past the scruffy stage. Though we do not have enough information yet to formulate a conclusive decision - it does appear favorable towards Jon's assumptive conclusion. Jon also sports the facial hair nicely... :)
